An encounter in the heart of the wilderness in Gaspésie !Experience the Bioparc and discover the natural heritage of the Gaspésie by exploring its five ecosystems : the Bay, the Barachois, the River, the Forest and the Tundra. 
Along a one-kilometre trail, share close encounters with more than thirty indigenous animal species in semi-liberty and more than 70 plant species in their natural ecosystems. The Bay Your adventure begins in Chaleur Bay, where common seals, birds and marine invertebrates await your visit.  The Barachois In the tidal pools and bars of the barachois - an ecosystem characteristic of the southern shore of the Gaspé Peninsula - you'll encounter the bird species that frequent these wetlands rich in biodiversity. The River The Gaspé Peninsula's numerous rivers offer the ideal habitat for many species... such as the otters and brook trout you might meet just around a curve in yhe trail. The Forest Changing with the seasons, the forest of the Gaspé Peninsula is home to many mammalian species. Here you can learn about the complex dynamic between these animals, their habitat and human beings. 
The Tundra Climb up the alpine tundra, the austere and unique habitat of the mountains of Gaspésie. You can observe the woodland caribou, whose presence on the Gaspé Peninsula takes on added signifiance. |
 A Different and Interesting Ecological ExperienceThe Bioparc offers a varied and dynamic program of activities with a team of naturalist-guides who are passionate about their work. Get a unique perspective on the ecology of the Gaspé Peninsula by participating in the park's guided activities. Qualified naturalists will propose you dynamic and diversified interpretation programs as well as guided activities that will help you learn more about the wildlife that lives in the region. It is also possible to follow the animal keepers and the naturalists during their feeding tour and to feed the animals. You will thus have the chance to take a closer look at the different species.
